Respected Colleagues, Life Members of North East India Education Society (NEIES),
After more than two years, the Pandemic had prevented us from meeting face to face and now we are now back to normal and hopefully the situation will further improve. However, the pandemic has also taught us that social media becomes an important place to interact. Social media platforms are meant to connect people and helped the world remain connected. Let us take this opportunity of connecting ourselves closely.
The Executive Committee of NEIES met on 9 th May 2022 and approved that the next Conference cum Seminar to be held at NEHU, Shillong on August 17-18, 2022 on the theme – Implementation of NEP-2020 with special reference to North Eastern Region: Issues and Challenges.
It was also discussed at length the necessity to have more close association amongst members through creating of the NEIES WhatsApp group state wise. An extract of Minutes of the Executive Committee of NEIES held on 9 th May 2022 is attached herein for ready reference of all members and to request all members to kindly send your WhatsApp contact number to the Coordinators in your State for necessary action from their end.
An Extract of the Minutes of Executive Committee Meeting dated 8 th May 2022 NEIES WhatsApp group– Prof. Buno suggested that WhatsApp group of all NEIES members should be created for quick and prompt information to all members. The General Secretary expressed the challenge as she does not have the update mobile numbers and even the latest email addresses of the members. This issue was discussed at length and it was suggested that members of each state can be separated to do the task and the compiled WhatsApp group be sent to Office at Shillong, the Headquarters. The following members were suggested to take up the responsibility in creating the WhatsApp group and update the email address. These members will also be responsible for generating fund state wise, and coordinating for all matters including holding seminars/webinars. The names of the Coordinators, State wise is given below:
