Minutes of the General Body meeting of the NEIES held on 8th November 2013 at the Department of Education, Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar.

Members present:-
In all thirty eight members were present in the General Body Meeting (List enclosed with their signature) Prof. PK Gupta, the President of NEIES welcomed all the members of the General Body of NEIES present at the venue of 21st Annual Conference held at Rajiv Gandhi University, Itanagar. On the second day of the Conference (i.e 8th November 2013), the following agendas was then discussed and the decisions were taken:

  1. Confirmation of General Body Meeting Minutes of 20th Annual Conference.
    Dr. Brinda presented the GB Minutes of the last Genearl Body meeting held on 9th November 2012 in the Old NEHU Guest House, Shillong.
  2. Presentation of Genearal Secretarys Report-
    Prof C.  Nongbri General Secretary of NEIES presented the 21st Annual Report of NEIES for the year, 2012-2013 before the General  Body at RGU, Itanagar.The report appraised the members about the 20th Annual Conference which was held at Department of Education, NEHU Shillong successfully.The General Secretary also informed that the life membership of NEIES has recorded a steady rise with 507 members.

    Regarding publication of the journal of the society, it was also reported that the journal is being published bi annually.

  3. Presentation of Treasurers Report-
    Dr. I Syiem presented the treasurers report for thye period from 19/5/2011 to 13/08/2012. (copy enclosed)
  4. Development  fee –
    It was decided that the development fee from each members should be collected    through the representative of their respective states. Dr. Elizabeth is requested to collect the same from the members of RGU, Arunachal Pradesh, Itanagar.
  5. Display of List of Members in NEIES website–
    In order to ease the communication it was decided to display the list of members on the NEIES website along with the email ID.
  6. Next Conference-
    Dr Phunu Das proposed to conduct the next 22nd conference in Cotton College, Guwahati.The same was accepted however the same is to be confirmed.
