The Society welcomes everyone who is interested in educational development of North East to be its member. Its membership spread over all states in the North East. When it was first established, the total members were 75 in number both life and annual members which went on increasing. Though the Society is a body of academicians of different colleges and Universities in the North East, it is interesting to note that membership is enriched by the eminent educationists – one being Mrs. J.E. Shullai who is also the First Patron of the Society, the prominent Legislators like Mr. P.R. Kyndiah the Member of Parliament & former Governor of Mizoram and Mr. S.A. Choudhury the former Minister.
